Accepting Nominations: Seniors of the Year Awards

Every May the nation celebrates Older Americans Month to honor and acknowledge that older adults play vital, positive roles in our communities – as family members, friends, mentors, volunteers, civic leaders, members of the workforce, and more. The Ontario County Office for the Aging celebrates Older Americans Month by recognizing local older adults who have given their time and energy to our community. We are seeking nominations for the SOY Awards (Seniors of the Year) to honor our local older adults who have made a significant contribution to our community. If you know of an older adult who should be recognized for their volunteer and civic engagement please nominate them for the SOY Award. The nomination form is due April 7, 2023. All nominees are recognized with an award and certificate. We will also have reception in their honor in May.
