Volunteers!  Bike Park Raising Needs You.

A community bike park for riders from expert to novice will be built behind the Geneva Town Hall, 3750 PreEmption Road (County Road 6) over the next six weeks.  Design and construction will be overseen by James Martinez, who managed the recent bike park build in Naples and also worked on the Victor bike park.

Volunteers using hand tools are needed over the following three weekends:  September 19-20, 26-27, and October 10-11 (possibly the Oct. 17 weekend if needed).  The work day will be 9 to 5; people can come for 2, 4, 6 hours or the whole day.  Drinks and lunch will be provided.  The work is outside and spread out, but be prepared to wear your mask; you must be well and not experiencing COVID-19 symptoms to participate.  Work includes shoveling, raking and moving soil, and people with basic carpenter skills for building wooden features are also needed.

Donations to the Town of Geneva for the bike park will also be appreciated.  Thanks to the Geneva Bicycle Center for the lead donation.

Volunteers should contact town supervisor Mark Venuti at or 315-789-3922 with your name, email address, phone number and times you would like to work.

            Let’s build it together!
