Town E-Waste and Spring Clean Event Saturday May 18th
Town of Geneva residents can bring electronic waste, construction debris and items in good condition for the Salvation Army on Saturday, May 18, from 9 to 1 at the Recycling and Disposal Station at 32 White Springs Road.
Acceptable electronic waste includes computers, mice, keyboards, cables, gaming devices, cell phones, tablets, MP3 players, monitors, phone systems, printers, stereo equipment, televisions, typewriters. There will be a $5 charge for each monitor, screen and TV to defray the town’s cost, which is much higher.
There will be a charge of 10 cents per pound for construction debris and other items not suitable for regular disposal.
Items in good condition and working order for the Salvation Army include clothing, books, records, CDs, furniture, jewelry, shoes, dishes, linens, mattresses and box springs, garden equipment, electrical appliances, radios, clocks, lamps, and TVs less than 5 years old.
The Recycling and Disposal Station is otherwise open for regular business, including containers for metal, food waste, yard trimmings, recycling and disposal.
