Farmland Protection Forum!
Senator Pam Helming, Senate Chair of the Legislative Commission on Rural Resources, is hosting a Farmland Protection Forum on November 16th, from 1-3pm at the Wood Library in Canandaigua. This event is being held in partnership with the American Farmland Trust and the NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets.
The goal of the Farmland Protection Forum is to provide local farmers and elected officials with information regarding programs that protect farmland and enhance the economic viability of local farms. The forum will also provide opportunities for participants to network with regional leaders.
Attendance is free, but space is limited. Land Use Training Credits will be available to participants.
