Highway Superintendent: Bernie Peck
The Town of Geneva Highway Department is responsible for maintaining and repairing town highways and bridges. Duties include snow removal during the winter months and blacktopping or repairing roads in the summer months. Roadsides are mowed to improve visibility, and brush or branches approaching the roadway may be trimmed. In addition, trees within the town right-of-way that present a potential hazard may be removed.
Each May, the Town of Geneva offers residents free trees to the first 100 who make a request with the town clerk. Residents are given a stake to mark where they would like the tree planted by Highway Department employees or can plant it on their own. Trees should be planted near the road right of way or in the front of the residence. Highway department employees will plant the trees and provide the first watering. Residents are responsible for watering and maintaining the tree after that.
