ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
The Town formed an Economic Development Committee in 2014. The current committee is composed of Supervisor Mark Venuti, Councilman Robert McCarthy, Code Enforcement Officer Floyd Kofahl, Paul Schroeder, Steve High, Kim Aliperti, Ed Smaldone, and Eric Heieck. The committee has been working on an inventory of Town properties and buildings suitable for business development and on ways of advertising them, and will be active in developing the Town’s new Comprehensive Plan.
Resources are available locally and through Ontario County for businesses seeking assistance with current operations and expansion plans, and for businesses seeking to start up or relocate to the Town. The Town of Geneva has no general fund town tax, saving businesses and residents thousands of dollars annually. Contact Supervisor Mark Venuti or Code Enforcement Officer Floyd Kofahl at town hall for more information.
